Vanilla Ice Birthday and Biography
Born October 31, 1968
Robert Van Winkle became known as Vanilla Ice when he came out with his hit single "Ice Ice baby" in 1990. His debut album sold 11 million copies. Shortly after this initial success his career went downhill. Vanilla Ice had legal problems because "Ice Ice Baby" sampled the Queen and David Bowie beat from "Under Pressure" without permission. Although he tried to re-invent his image several times in an attempt to revive his career, he never again saw the success that he once had in the early 1990's.
