Samuel Adams Birthday and Biography

Samuel Adams was born in Boston in the year 1722. After completing college at Harvard, Adams started getting involved in politics by attending town meetings and working as a tax collector for Boston. Later he became more involved with politics and was elected to the Massachusetts colonial legislature. Adams is best known as the organizer of the Boston Tea Party, a response to the Tea Act, and as one of the many people to sign the Declaration of Independence.
