F. Scott Fitzgerald Birthday and Biography

Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald was born September 24, 1896 and died December 21, 1940. He was an Irish-American writer, considered to be one of the greatest writers of the twentieth century. He dropped out of Princeton University and enlisted in the US Army, but the war ended before he was shipped oversees. The 1920's proved to be an influence on Fitzgerald's writing. He may be best known for his work titled The Great Gatsby published in 1925. Fitzgerald also wrote several short stories for news publications to help pay the bills.
