Brett Favre was born in Gulfport, Mississippi in 1969. Brett's father Irvin was his highschool football coach. Favre was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the 1991 NFL Draft. He was traded to the Green Bay Packers the following year. Favre won the National Football League's Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award three times, in consecutive years 1995, 1996, and 1997. In 1997 Brett Favre led the Packers to Super Bowl XXXI, and they beat the New England Patriots 35-21.
